Association of Fashion Designers is a local collective of professional designer clothiers who design and sell their collections locally.

Vision and goal: To provide our community with high-quality and uniquely handcrafted fashions, to support locally owned and operated businesses, and to cultivate a high standard of creative design and good business practices with our affiliates and partners.

 
The Association of Fashion Designers supports local fashion events and programs to educate and involve the community in local fashion. Events include Fashion Stroll, a bi-annual downtown street event; Style Wars, a local designer contest at Fashion Stroll; and DEX club of the University of Utah, an annual charity fashion show. The Association supports fashion education through various local colleges and schools by providing educational internships and apprenticeships with Association fashion designers.  In connection with the Finishing School, the Association also sponsors the Sewing Workshop of Salt Lake City, a summer school for students who would like to learn one sewing technique at a time under qualified, professional clothiers.
