Winning Designer - Amy Royer
Amy Royer’s design won first place in the Fall 2009 Style Wars contest: “1960’s London peacock looks with a modern edge.”
Amy created her A-line French dart dress design from a Vera Wang black & white cotton circle print accented with fabric paint in red, yellow and purple. Amy’s look also included a stunning purple wool coat with French darts, ¾ length tailored sleeves, red satin lining, grosgrain ribbon trim, hand made looped buttonholes, and flower embellishments made with yellow grosgrain ribbon. Amy topped off the look with purple Mary Jane button tab heels accented with yellow gross-grain flowers Amy’s team included Melinda Powell (makeup artist), Murissa Wallace (hair designer), and Elizabeth Bergeland (model).
